Because it's the best animated film ever. I watched it at least a million times when I was little...and I always wondered why there was never a sequel...
And I found out that apparently they were meant to make several sequels/sequel with several ideas (?) and they never did because not enough people supported it
And I just looked up the ratings and reviews and all of them are horrible. All of them are pretty much just negative, and state that the movie was not "good enough" it was "predictable" and it wasn't "original".
And to compare, somehow Frozen is super amazing, unpredictable, and original? What the hell? Frozen was a piece of crap, and i'm sorry if I offend anyone who likes it, but El Dorado was way more original and had actual enjoyable songs THAT WERE WRITTEN BY ELTON JOHN
Why did Dreamworks decide to make 4 Shrek movies and not at least 2 El Dorado movies? It makes me really sad :\ I know tons of people who loved the film...I even found an online petition wanting to get Dreamworks' attention on El Dorado, and there's only a 100+ supporters. That's just sad.
I also just really really miss tradigital animation. Why does every single new animated film have to be completely 3D and digital? It's boring and doesn't give it a nostalgic feel at all. Unless it's stop motion/clay because that's artistic and people put so much more heart and work into it
Anastasia is AWESOME, Sinbad Legend of the Seven Seas is AWESOME, and Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron is AWESOME, I watched and loved all of them when I was younger (and still do). They're all tradigital animated films that have more original concepts and their concept art is amazing
I guess i'm just having a nostalgia attack but I just wish Dreamworks made a sequel >.<
